BCS
The game of craps can be one that is difficult to figure out for those who have never played. Equally as confusing is the BCS rankings system. The system is so confusing and hated by fans, that other industries have started to follow the model.

The casino industry has become one of the first groups outside of college football to implement a BCS system of ranking casinos. Not surprisingly, Las Vegas casinos ranked 1-100 on the inaugural list, while casinos in Idaho, while producing well, were unranked.

"We went to this system simply because we knew we would look a lot better than we actually are," said one Las Vegas casino executive, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. "With as imperfect of a system as the BCS, we couldn't lose. We are the biggest gaming destination in the US, so obviously we would be on top of the rankings."

The people of Boise attempted to protest, claiming their casinos are newer, more conducive to winning, and much more customer friendly. Their plea, however, fell on deaf ears because all of the BCS officials were in Sin City for the weekend.

Other areas of the country also fell short of the top 100. Colorado casinos missed out because they did not bring in enough out of state gamblers. In Florida, their casinos missed the top 100 due to the weather in the summer. New Jersey was not on the list because as one BCS official put it, "It's freakin' New Jersey."

When contacted by Craps Online and asked for the formula for the BCS, the receptionist that answered the phone at the BCS office told us there was no formula. The receptionist claimed that her bosses simply put all the Las Vegas casinos' names in a hat, and picked them out one by one. Then, they put casinos from other states in the hat to come up with the rankings from 100-200.

When asked what it would take for a casino from a smaller gaming market to make the top 100, the receptionist laughed and hung up the phone.
