Exploited? An animal rights group is disturbed over a billboard that has been hung in Hollywood, California, that has a picture of Leonardo DiCaprio. The actor is set to star in a new movie about online gambling that will be set in Costa Rica.
The animal group is pissed off that DiCaprio is being portrayed as a sex symbol, with his shirt half unbuttoned in the billboard. They claim that since humans are animals, that gives the grouop the right to infringe on another part of society.
"We are equal opportunity a**holes," said activist Herbert Grules, from the animal rights group, Humans Are People Too, "the way they depict Leonardo in that billboard, it just makes me hot, I mean, angered."
The Freudian slip is one of many that have been made by animal rights activist males in the past few months. Psychologists, however, have disputed the notion that all male animal rights activists are gay. They claim that no evidence exists that the Freudian slips are anything other than coincidental.
Last week, an activist in Ohio used the words, "hot tamale" when speaking about Ben Stiller. The slip came at a rally by Humans Are People Too, after it had been found out that a director yelled at Stiller during the shooting of a new movie.
DiCaprio did not immediately respond to the group, but he did later issue this statement through his publicist, Fran Rawmeat, "I wish these people would not bother everyone. Would they still be appalled by my unbuttoned shirt and think that I was being mistreated if they knew I had a rare steak for dinner last night? I don't think so."
