Jackpot Winner?
A lizard caused a stir in a Florida casino early Saturday when the reptile hit a slot jackpot at the casino. At first, patrons did not know what caused the bells to go off, but after security got involved, it was found the lizard hit the jackpot.

It was 2AM on Saturday morning and the casino crowd at the Ricktar Casino in Florida was winding down. The jackpot signals started going off on one of the casinos' slots, Reptile Reels. Patrons at nearby slot machines called security when they noticed that nobody was playing the slot.

Security came over, and after ten minutes of searching the area, they gave up on finding who hit the jackpot. They turned all of the bells off and reset the machine. They then went upstairs to check the tapes, and what they found borders on outrageous.

Apparently, according to one of the security guards, a lizard saw other reptiles on the screen, and ran on to the slot game. It was determined that someone had left fifty cents in credits in the machines after previously playing the game.

The lizard, ran across the machine, and accidentally hit the trigger button, starting the reels. When they stopped, five giant snakes lined up straight across the machine on the main pay line, and the $253,000 jackpot had been hit.

The casino does not know what they should do with the money, and they are taking suggestions. The casino manager said most likely the casino would just keep the money, and the lizard would be awarded his own room upstairs.
