AC Casino New Slogan Atlantic City casino have there back against the wall with the economic recession, and late this past week, they came out swinging. The eleven AC casinos have now added fees for just about everything including breathing and walking.
If a player wants to attend an Atlantic City casino in the future, they may have to bring some extra spending cash with them. That is because there will be a new entry fee, walking fee, and breathing fee at the casino come December.
Upon entering any of the casinos, a patron will have to pay a $40 entry fee. They then will be issued an electronic device that will count how many steps they take while inside the casino. When they leave, they will have to pay $.10 for every step they took.
"We simply had to do something," said one Atlantic City casino executive who wished to remain anonymous, "We have to start making more money to survive, and if people are not going to lose it at the machines and on the tables, then we have to take it from them somehow."
The executive did not wish to reveal his name because he was concerned about upcoming budget cuts at his casino. The casino has already laid off hundereds of workers, and there are rumors they may be making more cuts from the remianing twelve employees.
If the walking fee at the casinos was not bad enough, there also will be a breathing fee that will be part of the new strategy to raise revenue. A person will be chared $.03 for every breath, but will receive a ten percent discount if they breath more than 12,000 times in one visit to the casino.
The breathing discount program is part of a promotion to get patrons to stay in the casinos for longer period of times. The more breaths a player takes, the more the discount grows. For those who breath more than 100,000 times a session, there breathing fee will be waived.
