Dice Las Vegas casinos have been using six-sided dice since they opened, but now there is a group that feels like the dice should be replaced. We Like Eight, a group of freaks who like the number eight, are objecting to the six-sided dice.
"It is obvious that Las Vegas casinos and other casinos around the world are bias towards the number six," said Mary Eighter, President of We Like Eight, "These casinos should be forced to use dice that are eight-sided, or maybe even ten-sided."
Of course, the casinos themselves have laughed off the idea of using dice with more or less sides than six. They claim that using these type of dice would change the odds for players, and one executive even took it a step further.
"These people are idiots," said Ron Bestor, an evecutive at a prominent Las Vegas casino, "Manufacturers do not even make dice that are anything other than six-sided. This is just preposterous. Where do these people come from!"
We Like Eight was formed back in 1999 when a group of eight lovers got together and decided that they did not like the year 1999. They protested back then, but after learning they could not change the date, they gave in and formed their group.
In recent years, We Like Eight has lobbied unsuccessfully to change the names of such products as 7-Up and Nine Lives. Last month, the group wanted the classic movie "Sixteen Candles" to be renamed "Eight Candles," but again their efforts failed.
